As the eldest of four daughters in a working-class family, I learned the value of hard work and family. Becoming a single mom at 20, I refused to believe I was destined to rely solely on government support. I worked at a plastics factory and was promoted through various roles including quality control, shipping supervisor, customer service, and production scheduler. Using the skills learned I was able to transition into building a business while acquiring a real estate license. These experiences shaped me into a compassionate conservative who believes in self-sufficiency rather than relying on government solutions.
Twenty-Eight years ago, I married the love of my life. We have three beautiful adult children who continue to bring joy to our lives. I am also a proud grandmother to one delightful granddaughter and have another grandchild on the way. Commitment to family and community and unwavering dedication to promoting transparency in government operations guide my beliefs as a fiscal conservative. I believe that by working together, we can build a better future for our children and ensure that our government serves its people effectively and responsibly.
Disheartened by the constant reports of government inefficiency and misuse of funds, coupled with the prevalence of individuals exploiting the system, I felt a strong urge to make a difference. This compelled me to join the Williams County Republican Party more than twenty years ago and my passion for change eventually led me to run for office.
I am honored to announce my candidacy for the 81st District seat in the Ohio House of Representatives. With a steadfast commitment to fiscal responsibility, transparency, and principled leadership, I am ready to bring my experience and dedication to serve the people of Northwest Ohio at the Statehouse.
Currently in my fourth term as Williams County Recorder, I have consistently prioritized efficient, accountable service to our residents. My commitment to public service also includes one term on the Montpelier Exempted Village School Board and six years of service on the Williams County Board of Elections. Within the Ohio Recorders' Association, I’ve been privileged to serve in every major leadership position and continue to represent our profession at the state level through the Ohio Council of County Officials.
In addition, I serve as Chairman of the Williams County Republican Central Committee and have been appointed to several local boards and commissions, including the Village of Montpelier Records Commission and the Williams Metropolitan Housing Authority.
With your support, I look forward to bringing our shared values—faith, family, and fiscal conservatism—to Columbus. Let’s work together to ensure a strong future for the 81st District and all Ohioans.
